It takes a village to make amazing custom merch. The Production Assistant makes and reclaims screens, preps jobs so the press is ready to run, stacks and packs finished garments, and jumps on press when a job needs a second set of hands.
It’s the entry level of our production team, and it’s a small crew, so you’ll learn the whole shop rather than one corner of it. No decorating experience needed to start.
What the job looks like
- Making screens and reclaiming them after a run.
- Prepping jobs so the press is ready to run.
- Stacking and packing finished garments.
- Helping on press when a job needs a second set of hands.
The role starts part time with flexible hours and grows into full time as you take on more of the shop. Our production team works Tuesday to Friday, 8AM to 6PM, so it’s a four day week and your hours sit inside that.
We print for Winnipeg’s best bands, brands, businesses and events out of the Exchange District, on a ROQ P10 auto and a Douthitt CTS.
Qualities We’re Lookin’ For
- You’re on time and you’re steady. That’s the one that matters most.
- You can be on your feet all day and lift a box of shirts.
- You’d rather ask a question than guess.
- A ‘learn-it-all’ attitude. Small team, everybody wears a few hats.
- An interest in Continuous Improvement. We are a Lean facility, and we love Kaizen.
- You want to learn to print, not just do a shift. No experience needed, we’ll teach you the rest.
Pay and perks
We’re committed to top compensation in our field, and pay levels go up with experience on our processes and willingness to train others. Apply and we’ll tell you the current Base Wage.
- Casual dress code.
- Paid birthday off.
- Monthly pizza lunch, snacks and drinks stocked.
- Central location, easy commute.
- A real path onto the press.
